20150630-103c.jpgPhotography has been an ongoing passion and professional learning experience throughout my life. My dad built a darkroom in the basement of our Vermont home when I was a teenager and I spent long hours in the darkroom experimenting. My dad also had an extensive camera collection and gave me my first medium format camera as a birthday present. In high school and at The Colorado College I enrolled in photography courses, and completed an extensive photo essay while studying and traveling for a semester in Nepal.

My professional career began while working as a photo assistant for several photographers in Jackson Hole, WY in the mid 1990's. In 1997 I was hired as a full-time staff photographer for Riddell Advertising and Design, a position that I held until I relocated in 2001 to Bishop, CA.

In Bishop, I taught Photography for two years at the Jill Kinmont Boothe School while also establishing my own photography business. In 2004 I decided to work full time on my photography business focusing on catalog clothing images, other product photos and lifestyle images.

Photographing people in their natural setting and in environments that they love, continues to drive my passion. The recreational opportunities of the Owens Valley area are amazing, with an abundance of breathtaking, natural backdrops. I strive to catch that moment when a person feels most at ease, happy, or reflective in a great space. I like to capture the in-between moments along with the simple and charming happenings in life and the interactions we have with our amazing planet.
