Photography has always been a part of my life. My dad built a darkroom in the basement of our Vermont home when I was a teenager and I spent long hours experimenting with printmaking. In high school and at The Colorado College I enrolled in photography courses and completed an extensive photo essay while studying and traveling for a semester in Nepal.

My professional career began while working as a photo assistant for several photographers in Jackson Hole, WY in the mid 1990's. In 1997 I was hired as a full-time staff photographer for Riddell Advertising and Design, a position that I held until I relocated in 2001 to Bishop, CA.

In Bishop, I taught Photography for two years at the Jill Kinmont Boothe School while also establishing my own photography business. In 2004 I committed to work full time on my photography business focusing on catalog product and clothing images and outdoor lifestyle images.

I enjoy photographing people in natural settings and in environments that they love. The recreational opportunities of the Owens Valley and the Eastern Sierra in the area surrounding my home area are amazing. I strive to catch that moment when a person feels most at ease, happy, or reflective in a great space. I like the in-between moments, simple happenings in life, and the interactions we have with nature.
